About me

The love for photographing has been given to me by my father. Ever since I was a child I watched him carrying his bag with photomaterials. He took his camera where ever we went, on holidays we had to sit and wait when he was photographing little flowers, birds and landscapes. Of course at that time I could not understand at all what the magic was. 
One day I was allowed to took a old camera from him and go outside to take some pictures, I can still remember how confused I got to do everything manual. I think that is the main reason I was not very enthousiastic untill the I got a automatic camera. Leaving all technical aspects away I could simply try to take the shots I wanted to photograph. 
For years I was not busy photographing, untill some years ago I got a digital camera from my father. Then things changed, being able to see the results immidiately on my computer I got more and more inspired and motivated. Being the auto-didact I am it was the perfect way for me to learn from my own mistakes and that way improve my photographing talent.
For my birthday my husband gave me a new camera. At first I felt overwhelmed, I even was afraid to take the camera and go outside but after some days the curiosity to discover all possibilities won. Since then I have been photographing a lot and it seemed like a good idea to share my work on this site.

What else is there to know about me...I am female, born on february 14th in 1972, married with a great guy who's greatest hobby is photographing. You can see more from his work at his site. We live in the Netherlands with our daughter and son, our dog and two cats.
As I mentioned photographing is a hobby for me, I dont have any aspirations in becoming a professional photographer, I simply love to take my camera and go outside, to shoot the things I see and to share them here at my website.
